Prophet Elias Grove (Alsos Profiti Ilia)
A lush, scenic park that serves as a natural "balcony" over Kastoria, offering the most iconic panoramic views of the lake. It is an ideal spot for photography and light hiking, located just 1.3 km from the center (a few minutes by car or a pleasant uphill walk).
Agios Athanasios Hill
Situated atop the peninsula and connected to the Prophet Elias trails, this viewpoint offers a breathtaking 360-degree perspective of both sides of the lake and the city’s traditional architecture. It is easily accessible and located at a similar distance to Prophet Elias.

Panagia Mavriotissa Monastery
A Byzantine treasure dating back to the 11th century, famous for its rare external frescoes and its spiritual atmosphere. It is located 2–3 km from the lakeside center and can be reached via a stunningly beautiful walk along the water’s edge, beneath the towering plane trees that line the shore.

Apozari
On the northern side of the peninsula of Kastoria, opposite the mountainous area of Vitsi, lies the picturesque area of Apozari. Among the traditional and picturesque buildings of the area stands the square Apozari. With the lake stretching out in front of it, the square is ideal for relaxation, especially after an enjoyable walk around the lake. A characteristic feature of the square is an example of a Kastorian Ship, exhibited in the centre of the square, as well as a statue of a pair of swans. The square is used for a variety of events by the association and the Municipality of Kastoria, such as a fish festival, a summer cinema, events related to the Kastorian Carnival (Ragoutsaria) and various other cultural events, while at Easter the Rodani (improvised swing) is set up.

Tsiatsiapas Mansion
Right beside Angels Riva is a three-story mansion with a rectangular floor plan and an emphasized horizontal axis. The second floor preserves the largest part of the rich decoration dating back to 1798 and includes woodcarved and painted surfaces of both walls and wooden structures, such as ceilings, mesandres and doors, with symbolic and floral themes that reflect the economic, social and cosmopolitan identity of its owners. The Mansion, after the completion of the conservation works of its murals and woodcarved structures within the framework of the NSRF 2007-2014, is a monument that can be visited and hosts various cultural activities and events.

The Dragon’s Cave (Spilaio tou Drakou)
One of the most impressive and well-organized caves in Greece, featuring seven underground lakes and ten chambers with spectacular stalactite and stalagmite formations. This natural marvel is situated just 2–3 km from the lakeside center, right on the coastal road.

Dispilio Neolithic Lake Settlement
A world-class archaeological site located approximately 7 km east of Kastoria. This open-air museum features a faithful reconstruction of a prehistoric settlement with wooden pile dwellings (stilt houses), offering a fascinating glimpse into life 7,000 years ago. It is an essential day trip for history and culture lovers.

Lake tour boat
With the boat “OLYMPIA” which departs from a port just 500 metres from Angels Riva, you have the opportunity to get to know the idyllic landscape of the lake and the city of Kastoria, which through the on-board tour by making the “small round” of the lake you can admire the traditional settlements of the city with the imposing mansions which stand proudly in the passage of time, the beautiful beaches of Kastoria and the fishing villages, the picturesque lakeside route of the peninsula with the age-old plane and willow trees that lean into the lake where you will find the Cave of the Dragon and the Holy Monastery of Panagia Mavriotissa, and a multitude of images of unparalleled beauty that leave even the most demanding visitor enchanted.

Byzantine Museum
The Byzantine Museum of Kastoria is located at the highest point of the city, in the area of the old Xenia. After its renovation in the framework of the NSRF 2007-2013, it hosts a new permanent exhibition since October 2016. It is a unique thematic museum of icons, since its collections are mainly composed of portable religious paintings of the Byzantine and post-Byzantine periods. It is a 10 minutes walk from Angels Riva.
